You could relate to someone from 1900. You had a childhood. You had leisure. You went to school. Your family works a job with 9-5-ish type hours. What are you doing this for? Oh. You’re in a school. Why are you there? You seem pretty able bodied. Shouldn’t you be doing soul-crushing labor in a factory? Wait… there’s a MIDDLE class?!? So, yeah. There’s a ton of changes to society. Women can vote? What? People live in urban areas? I could go on all day. These are the societal changes stemming from the Industrial Revolution.
